Sally Woolvine

Huntington’s Disease Specialist Service Team Lead

About Sally Woolvine

Sally joined Scottish Huntington’s Association in November 2013 further to a career that spanned health and social care, including as an auxiliary nurse in a local hospice while completing training as a qualified social worker. Her early social work experience was in child protection before moving into the adult sector as a Safeguarding Officer within a local authority. In 2009 she returned to palliative care to lead the hospice’s Family Support Team. The values developed in that setting strongly influenced her decision to apply for the role of Senior Huntington’s Disease Specialist, initially with the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Service before being appointed to her current role. Sally describes her time with Scottish Huntington’s Association as “deeply rewarding.”
