Applications for the 2024 intake to the “Huntington’s disease: an enabling approach to supporting families” online module are now open.
The course, delivered in partnership with University of Stirling, is aimed at health and social care professionals working with families who are living with Huntington’s. By drawing on current global research and practice, learners will develop a greater understanding about the disease and its impact on individuals and families while enhancing the skills and knowledge needed to provide appropriate care and support.
Professor Louise McCabe, Professor in Dementia Studies at University of Stirling and a Trustee with Scottish Huntington’s Association, said: “The input of families, the people who live with Huntington’s disease every day, offers learners a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into this rare disease and help to transform the care and support of the Huntington’s disease community.”
The 12-week online programme begins on Friday 4 October.
