Family Gathering 2026 – Saturday 14 November, Dunfermline
This year’s Scottish Huntington’s Association Family Gathering will take place on Saturday 14 November at the Carnegie Conference and Events Centre, Fife College, Dunfermline.
Our Patron Sarah Winckless MBE will join us and we are looking forward to welcoming Professor Ed Wild, Associate Director of University College London Huntington’s Disease Centre. Professor Wild, a great friend to Scottish Huntington’s Association, will deliver – in his own unique style – an update on global Huntington’s research.
In addition to interactive presentations, there will also be plenty of free time for you to relax and socialise with members of our community and engage with key staff and stakeholders.
Attendance is free with lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments provided. Registration is easy – just click on the link below.

Please register before Friday 2 October however, as we expect there to be high demand, you are advised to do so as soon as possible. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. This means registration might close early and we will not be able to guarantee availability.

Travelling by road
Carnegie Conference and Events Centre is located off the M90, exit junction 3 (SatNav postcode KY11 8SJ). It has 379 free car parking spaces, including for those with accessibility needs.
Travelling by train
Dunfermline Queen Margaret Train Station
1.7 miles from venue
There are direct and frequent links to Edinburgh (37 minutes). Those travelling from the Edinburgh direction by train should take the Glenrothes With Thorntonline, or the Cowdenbeath line. Attendees coming from north east Fife should take the Edinburgh (Waverley) line, however this requires a change at Inverkeithing station.

Travelling by bus
Halbeath Park and Ride – located to the east of Dunfermline at Junction 3 off the M90, providing links from the west of Fife to cities including Edinburgh and Glasgow. Bus services from here provide travel to Dunfermline city centre and include stops at Dunfermline campus. This bus journey to campus takes approx. 17 minutes.

Children and young people off-site activity
Youth activity spaces can be booked for children and young people (aged 7 – 15 inclusive). It is hoped to take part in adventure golf and bowling at Fife Leisure Park (tbc). Activity cost, travel and lunch will be provided by Scottish Huntington’s Association. Any additional costs will require to be covered by attendees. Numbers are limited to 16 and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
