Teams tops the league for awareness raising

What a team!

A huge thank you to Alan and Louise Provan of Provan Contracts in Lanarkshire for a champion bit of awareness raising about our work.

As part of the company’s sponsorship of the North Motherwell 2010 Blues this season, Louise and Alan have worked with the team and chosen to promote Scottish Huntington’s Association on the squad’s team strips. 

They were inspired to help by close friends whose family is impacted by Huntington’s disease.

“Our friendship goes back many years so we have always known about Huntington’s disease and how it progresses,” said Louise, company director of the shop fitting firm.

“But we also know that one the big challenges faced is a lack of awareness about the disease amongst the wider public so we wanted to do what we could to help change that.

“Our son plays for the North Motherwell 2010 Blues and as team sponsors we thought it would be a good opportunity to encourage more people to find out about the disease. The squad will be wearing the strip every match day and we hope that spectators will take a moment to look up Scottish Huntington’s Association and learn about Huntington’s disease and the work of the charity to support families.”
