Let’s talk about Huntington’s disease

As part of our 30th anniversary celebrations, we are recruiting 30 volunteers to take the You, Me and HD campaign into villages and towns across Scotland.

You, Me and HD ambassadors will give talks to community groups and promote their efforts on social media. Presentation training and publicity materials will be provided, and out of pocket expenses will be given.

SHA Chief Executive John Eden said: “This is great opportunity for people to help us make a real difference to how HD is understood and the impact it has across generations of families.

“Over the past three decades we have worked tirelessly to raise awareness and although great progress has been made in lifting the stigma of the disease, we want to really bring it out of the shadows during our anniversary year.”

SHA supporters Gillian McNab and Barbie Short have signed up and they share their stories in the powerful You, Me and HD film.

Will you join them? We’d love to hear from you – please contact elizajane54@hotmail.co.uk to find out more about how you can become involved.

The campaign has been made possible thanks to a £5000 grant from the James Tudor Foundation.
