Global response to When Bob Dylan met Woody Guthrie

Thank you to everyone who joined the When Bob Dylan Met Woody Guthrie webinar hosted by Scottish Huntington’s Association and our UK and Ireland Huntington’s Disease Alliance Partners.

We had over 100 people on the call to hear the story presented by Woody’s granddaughter Anna Canoni, President of Woody Guthrie Publications. Anna shared especially poignant footage of Woody during his stay in hospital, handwritten lyrics, well-known and rare recordings, and family photos in addition to handwritten postcards received from Dylan as his star began to rise.

With people attending from Scotland, Canada, Poland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Australia, England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland, the US, and Italy, family members also took the opportunity to engage with one another and Anna using the chat function.

Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, including below:

“I watched with fascination and great interest from beginning to end and, as a member of a Huntington’s family, recognised many familiar moments. I’m deeply grateful to the Scottish Huntington’s Association and Anna Canoni for this amazing webinar.”

The webinar was delivered by the Huntington’s Disease UK and Ireland Alliance – a partnership of Scottish Huntington’s Association, Huntington’s Disease Association, Huntington’s Disease Association of Ireland, and Huntington’s Disease Association Northern Ireland.
