We have developed four short videos in partnership with Specialist Insurance Adviser, Kathryn Knowles, to provide a brief summary of the key issues around insurance, genetic testing and Huntington’s disease.
The videos are designed to provide information only, and SHA is not recommending the use of any specific specialist insurance advisor over any other.
For more information about any of the following topics, please contact the Financial Wellbeing Team in the first instance. While we are not financial advisors, and are unable to recommend any specific product, we can provide general information and guidance.

An insurance provider with products including over-50s cover. Over-50s cover can be a way of leaving money to loved ones when you die, and most providers provide guaranteed acceptance if you are aged between 50 and 80 years old, regardless of any health concerns. Depending on your circumstances, premiums may be higher and payouts lower than other types of policies, therefore we always recommend seeking further information or advice prior to applying for a policy.
