As a Lucky Lotto player you will be delighted to know your donations to our monthly lottery will go directly to help fund our world-leading Scottish Huntington's Association youth service (SHAYP).

For young people growing up in a family affected by Huntington's disease (HD), it can feel like the odds are stacked against them making the right support crucial to protecting their health and wellbeing. Not only do they witness the decline of their parent’s mood, movement and mental health, they know that they themselves are at 50% risk of going on to develop the disease and its symptoms. This reality takes its toll on our young people, with three in four reporting self-harm behaviours, a lack of self-esteem, low mood, anxiety and depressive traits.

Having a family member living with HD places a lot of responsibility on young shoulders, with 80% of the young people we support having caring responsibilities and many being relied upon to help look after younger siblings.

Funds raised by Lucky Lotto will help us provide 1-2-1 and group support that reduces isolation, helps young carers, promotes mental health and wellbeing, and makes sure young people have the information and resilience they need to cope with the challenges of today and prepare for what’s to come.

Pay £3 per month to be in with a chance of winning our top prize of £250, or second prize of £100. Together we can change the odds and positively transform the futures of children and young people growing up in families impacted by HD.
I'm delighted to win! I started playing Lucky Lotto not long after my sister-in-law Elaine was diagnosed with HD. Elaine was incredible but she sadly passed away earlier this year.

Her two girls, my nieces, are at risk and I know how important the support is to them and families across Scotland. I like to do what I can by playing Lucky Lotto and fundraising. Elaine's smile would be so big knowing I've been lucky and won!
