Charitable Trusts
We rely on the support of trusts and foundations to fund our vital work. They help us create and maintain life-changing support and services for families impacted by Huntington’s disease. We develop long-lasting, sustainable relationships with the trusts and foundations who fund us. Find out more about how we can work together to empower ordinary people to meet extraordinary challenges.
How We Work With Trusts & Foundations Trusts and foundations support us in various ways including:
- Funding the expert care, advice and support provided by our HD Specialists, who are a lifeline for many suffering from this debilitating condition.
- Helping to provide specialist money advice to families living with HD on a range of issues; accessing welfare benefits, debt and planning for the future, through our Financial Wellbeing Service.
- Funding our four annual respite breaks for young carers from HD families, enabling young people impacted by HD to get away from their caring responsibility and have fun with their peers.
- Providing the funding for our annual family conference, which brings people impacted by HD together, from all over Scotland.
Other trusts simply help by making donation towards our overall costs.
What We’ll Do For You
We provide regular reports on the difference your donation is making to families impacted by Huntington’s Disease across Scotland. We can also arrange a visit from our talks service, which includes speakers from the HD families, arrange meetings with our staff, or day trips to some of the activities we run, so you can the power of our work first-hand.
