The consultation on the draft National Care Framework for HD formally closed on 9 December.

The Scottish Huntington’s Association was extremely grateful to receive around 120 responses from HD family members, NHS Boards, Health & Social Care Partnerships, Integration Joint Boards, Royal Colleges, health & social care professionals, academics and third sector organisations (from Scotland and indeed beyond). Responses have been overwhelmingly positive, and have also resulted in a wide range of helpful suggestions on how to tighten the Framework further.

Feedback will be put to the Development Group in January 2017, with a view to agreeing on a version to be presented to the Scottish Government for sign off shortly thereafter.
