Charity partner takes fundraising a step further after Dance 100

Thank you so much to our incredible charity partner, Lanarkshire-based accountancy firm Benson Wood & Co.

Since joining forces with Scottish Huntington’s Association in April, the staff have been very busy, including by stepping forward as headline sponsor for Dance 100 and coming along on the day to raise a further £800!

Not content to stop there, Benson Wood & Co is already taking on its next challenge – Walk 100! CEO John Moffat is trekking 15,000 steps a day for 100 days then tackling the Speyside Walk in his last week – which is over 100km on its own!

“I’ve been learning about the journey Huntington’s families go through and feel every step on my own journey is more than worth it if it helps make theirs any easier. My colleagues and clients at Benson Wood & Co are all behind me and I hope to have them join on me on different days on my daily morning walks.”

“It will be nice to share the endorphin boost and raise extra awareness while we’re at it. I’m 15 days in now and really enjoy my daily walks – especially with the good weather we’ve been having!”

The Benson Wood & Co team hopes to raise £10,000 to help Huntington’s families. A totaliser stand now has pride of place in the head office in Bellshill to encourage everyone to get involved.

We’re so grateful to have the firm as a charity partner – and thank every staff member for all they do in support of our cause.
