The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland are currently casting for a paid role in an upcoming short film, ‘Incoming Tide’, which centres around a pair of sisters living with a Huntington’s diagnosis in the family. As an institution committed to showing authentic diversity on screen, RCS would like to hear from anyone who might be interested in being involved in the film. Absolutely no acting experience is necessary and the role is small and informal, about half a day on set with an extremely friendly crew. We’re keen to hear from anyone, male or female, 45 plus, showing any stage of physical onset of the disease, who might enjoy a new experience. The same applies for any members of the community who fit into the above description but are not interested being cast, however would be open to meeting and speaking about their experiences.
We hope that ‘Incoming Tide’ will be a project that can help generate public awareness for Huntington’s at a time when it’s most needed. The film itself will screen in Cineworld in Glasgow in July.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the above on a friendly and informal basis, please feel free to contact the film’s director, Robin Boreham at firstname.lastname@example.org or via telephone on 07917358642.”
