What Is Huntington’s Disease
Huntington’s disease (HD) is a hereditary illness that causes damage to certain areas of the brain. This stops the brain and body from working as well as they used to, and affects a person’s movement, thoughts, behaviour and emotion. Symptoms can occur at almost any age but most commonly appear between 30 and 50.
The Scottish Huntington’s Association offers a number of services. Find out which services could help you.
We are transforming the landscape of care for HD affected families so that everyone gets the right support at the right time in the right way. You can help us make that happen sooner, better and for more people by getting involved.
