One of our partners, Breathing Space Scotland, is running a year long campaign called ‘The Year of Listening’.
The Year of Listening campaign’s aim is to raise awareness throughout 2016 that listening, and being listened to, is good for your mental health.
Having worked closely with Breathing Space for a number of years, we are delighted to support their campaign particularly given the detrimental effect on mental health that comes from living with Huntington’s disease, including carers and family.
Our Chief Executive, John Eden, has also written a guest blog for the campaign on the importance of listening and this can be viewed here.
Breathing Space Scotland are also running a competition to help raise awareness. They are looking for you to describe ‘What does listening mean to you?’. This can be done by photo, short story or poem, the choice is yours.
